As of June 14, 2024, Wikipedia describes the monster called a 'Pricolici' as "a werewolf/vampire fusion in the Romanian folklore"... and, while -wrong-, there are distinct reasons why this error has occurred and persisted. In order to both sort out the mistakes and to explain why they exist, it will be best to start from the earliest published note on this particular monster...
